Digital rear-view mirrors are becoming increasingly common, and now Mazda is getting in on the action.
It’s rolling out the feature as one of its optional Genuine Accessories on a pair of its SUV lines.
It’s available to order now on the CX-90, and will also be available on that model’s two-row CX-70 counterpart when it arrives in Australia.
The recommended fitting pricing is $2568, and orders can be placed at dealerships nationwide.
As with Mazda’s other Genuine Accessories, there’s a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty when the mirror is fitted as part of a new vehicle order.
If you’ve already taken delivery of a CX-90, you can pay to have the feature fitted, however it will only come with a two-year warranty.
Digital rear-view mirrors allow you to see out the back of a vehicle when you’re carrying items or people that would block the view from the regular mirror, thanks to a camera placed at the top of the rear windscreen.
You can press a button to flip Mazda’s item back to a regular mirror.
There are also buttons to adjust the brightness of the screen, plus buttons for Homelink garage door capability.
